1987 sunflyer has no power to headlights

Many VIN numbers including mine shows a 7 as the seventh character. It is a basic P-30 chassis. No one has been able to clarify why VIN shows it as P-37 motorhome chassis as compared to a 0 as seventh character indicating a stripped bare chassis.

I believe my rig is on a chevy P37 chassis

fuse links by starter are ok...will check out light switch

The Wiring TO the Headlamps and lights is Chevy. The Dash switch is Chevy and has a built in Circuit breaker. Start at the Dash switch. Odds are you will see burnt connections on the switch. Doug

Did you check the fuse links by the starter?
Chilton's General Motors Full-size van manual, 28642, has basic wiring diagrams. It does not show much for lighting wiring diagrams.
Your chassis is a GM (Chevrolet) P-30.
