It sounds like you have a blown fuse or bad circuit breaker on positive the wire from the battery.
At the battery grab the positive wire in your hand and trace the wire back toward the trailer until you find something that isn't a wire. If it's a fuse try replacing it. If you find a small rectangular box with two threaded studs that is a circuit breaker. You can jumper a small wire between the two posts to bypass the breaker and see if the trailer starts working.
