2002 HR QUITE ONAN 4000 gen wont start
Just purchased this Alantis 2002 class c quite 4000 Onan gen wont start Previous owner said they had hooked it up to a gas can and it ran fine I disconnected that fire hazard but now gen wont star...

Ok previous owner said gen was running fine no issue but he decided to replace fuel line??? After replacing fuel line gen would only run a few minutes then cut off. He said he took it to repair shop was told it ran fine they ran it fur several hours. But when he would get it home it again would only run a couple minutes and cut off but if he connected the gas can sitting on the ground it would run. I'm not sure why he did decided to replace fuel line he said he thought it looked “old”
Now it will not start
follow the gas line and see if it has an air lock in it or is kinked anywhere. you might even just try syphon some gas through the fuel line and see if that works. I am not sure how the tank in set up for the genny, Is it a dedicated tank for the genny? if so make sure the venting on the tank is working, even if it is off a main gas tank it should still be vented. you can check this by just taking off the gas tank cap and try running the genny
