ok, second take:
you have 600 Watts of panel and 24 Volts.. your CC is going to deliver a max of 600/24=25Amps.. no problem there.
your statement of doubling 40 to 80 Amps is incorrect, you are confused.. you will only have 40A at either 12V or 24V..
what I think you meant to say was : "I have a 12V system that's maxed out at 480 watts and I'm going to change it to 24V so I can
fully utilize my panel/CC combination and realize 600 Watts of capacity"
what you ARE asking for is a way to power your 12V inverter from 24V and that's just not economical. yes, it can be done, but it's way cheaper to just buy a 24V inverter/charger.
