At 80 FEET.....(even with a 12 gauge extension cord ).....I would not even consider turning on the air conditioner !!!!!!!(unless you want to chance burning out the motor..due to low voltage)..power loss at longer runs.
you should be just fine just running the fridge to get it going and the converter for lights and things like that -----but at 80 ft..... reducing the 30 amp down into basically a 15 amp outlet you're going to heat up the court and melt the adapter or the cord if you try running a heavy load at 80 foot !!!!!
the other person probably had a short length of cord and was lucky ----but at 80 feet there's no way unless you basically do about a 8 or 10 gauge and wired directly to panel
You'll be fine just running the fridge and maybe a couple lights maybe the TV ---------no microwave no coffee maker no toaster toaster oven----- anything big at 80 FEET.
