NOT common problem. Nobody will be able to tell you what and where the alarm module is, You will need to do what any shop would have to do----When it sounds, you will have to either pull the Dash Instrument speedo cluster for behind dash access or bend under the dash with a flashlight and use your ears to pinpoint the module that has the alarm. From your description, it MUST be a Ford chassis part. UNLESS, you have leveling jacks and they are extended. BUT, that jack alarm would come on when the Ignition is on. Sooo, next time it happens cycle the Ignition key to get it off and then turn the Ign key back ON and see if you get the same alarm if you have Jacks and they are extended. The next item may be the Headlight ON alarm when the Key is turned off. Some model Fords have a problem with the Headlight module. So, turn on the headlights and leave key off and see if you have that same alarm going off. Long shot is if you are not the original owner, the previous owner/s might have added some type of system that has an alarm. Doug
