there are filament cleaners, pretty much a tube with a sponge in it. some recommend oil. I would never do it. they recommend the oil simply to reduce the friction in the extruder pull
i mentioned the dust in another thread. most are saying its on the top layer from the transport. that its gone after that. I may just blow them off with an air compressor if that's the case
