50 Amp Outlet Installation Question
Good Evening!
My name is Trent, I own a 2015 Keystone Hideout and need technical advice on installing a 50amp outlet.
I have read many posts on my issue but cannot seem to figure it out for the life of me!
At the area where I park my RV, I have a main panel, and inside the panel, the ground and neutral are connected to the same bar. I will be installing a 50amp RV outlet at the other side of the property, but I cannot figure out my neutral/grounding situation.
I have narrowed this issue down to two possible scenarios...
1. Only run 3 wires from the main panel (120v/120v/neutral) and install a grounding rod at the outlet for the ground.
or
2. Run all 4 wires from the main panel (120v/120v/neutral/ground)...but would I connect the ground and neutral to the same bar at the main service panel?
Any input in greatly appreciated! Thank You!
