I agree. If I caught you modifying(damaging) my equipment, I would file charges on you in a heartbeat. Seel your trailer and go rent a section 8 house. If you are one of those people who would chop on the campground pedestal, you are no better than the guy who thinks everyone for 4 sites on each side wants to hear your stereo.
Why not use a coarse file and "slot" the handle to fit the lip on the enclosure. The plugs with molded handles have more than enough plastic material and removing enough to make it fit would be easy.
