I'd ask the CG to make the modification (or allow me), otherwise move on. They will soon get the message. None of my 30A or 50A cords have handles but all new adapters and cord will have handles.
In the meantime I install the Plug Dogs handle click which works great. On the female plug it moves around so I used some Gorilla Super Glue to secure it. Here's a picture.
