- HamnetExplorerTo all, once again thank you for your responses.
Returned from trip, after cleaning up everything I seen another resettable breaker in my front storage area. After resetting it the slide works on batteries as it did before.
It must have tripped with the other one and I forgot it was there. - CA_TravelerExplorer III

Again batteries raise there weak heads although I suspect there is more to this story. Loac check them when you can.
2oldman. Yes, everything else works on batteries. Even when raising the 5th wheel to unhook is running off the batteries, although it gets weak after a few minutes.
I will also try the jumper cable idea. - HamnetExplorer2oldman. Yes, everything else works on batteries. Even when raising the 5th wheel to unhook is running off the batteries, although it gets weak after a few minutes.
I will also try the jumper cable idea. - fprestoExplorerRun Jumper cables from your tow vehicle or a battery pack directly to the motor and see if it moves. If it does go back to the batteries and repeat. That will tell you if the batteries are weak or something is interrupting the power such as a circuit breaker or fuse.
- 2oldmanExplorer IIDoes everything else 12v run?
- HamnetExplorerNope, there is no inline fuse.
- HamnetExplorerThank you old bisciit. I replaced the smaller unit that had a reset botton. The button didn't reset so I figured it went bad. The rv supply didn't have a replacement with a reset so I installed new one without the reset. I will look for the inline fuse now.
Unfortunately were leaving in a few hours and don't have a chance to have the batteries checked. We will have power where were going. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIWhich 50A breaker did you change out?
Power for slides are typically wired directly off battery with an in-line fuse OR a DC circuit breaker (most are auto reset---some have small manual reset button on side).
Trace the wiring from battery to in-line fuse OR DC CB and check power both sides of device.
DC CB.....
In-line fuse holder....
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIIThat's a good indication. But batteries work on complex chemical chemistries and a simple voltage test doesn't indicated battery health. It is possible that your batteries are shot.
Have them load tested so that you know their condition. - HamnetExplorerThanks to all. I checked the batteties with a digital voltmeter before putting them in the 5th wheel today. One read 12.78 and the other 12.71.
