On the older Rigs this is Normal . D is Drive and the Transmission will shift up to the 6 th gear when you reach a predetermined Speed.
The Mode Button allows You to select between Normal and Economy. Ours defaults to Normal which works well most of the Time here in Mountain Country!
When We are on a trip across the flatlands I punch the Economy Button which changes the shift points .
Frankly I don't see any difference in fuel mileage in either mode!
When the Engine Brake is turned on My rig will limit the Top gear to 4 although it will only shift down from 6 or 5 ,when I have applied the Brakes to actually slow down.then it automatically shifts down as the rig slows down.
