Umm...The ratings are NOT the same.
Most all 12 volt batteries use a 1 amp draw rating which will yield a higher number. Most simply don't say how the number was calculated.. You can bet that they used the 1 amp method.
In reality the 6 volt batteries will have more capacity for that reason....And even more because the 12 volt batteries shouldn't be drawn down as far as 6 volts can without affecting their lifespan.
As a general rule of thumb, two 6 volts
is about equal to three 12 volts in the group 24 size.
