I don't understand the 60% figure. I have two of the 55AH Grp 34/78 models. I also have a Sears P-4 grp 34/78 weighing 53lbs with 68AH.
The Optimas only weigh 43.5lbs each where a standard conventional Grp 34/78 weighs 53lbs as with my P-4.
On a weight ratio basis 43.5/53 is 82%.
Furthermore 55AH / .82 = 67AH which is damn close to the 68AH rating of the P-4. There is no loss of AH on a per LB basis.
If Optima packs 82% of the AH of a P-4 in the same footprint space, how do you arrive at 60% capacity?
