Yes, on that I agree. Like I said, I have two Optimas so I have experience as well.
I will not recommend them primarily due to their $/AH. You may be surprised to know that I don't see the Sears P-4s as a particularly good value either when compared to other AGM choices. They are weak on the $/AH scale too. I got my 68AH P-4
starting battery on sale for $165. It has a 4yr 100% replacement and 10yr pro-rated warranty.
Right now, the $170 12V and 6V AGMs at the discount club stores are the best value for RV batteries. In pairs they are 200AH for 12V. Better than pairs of 6V GCs on a Total Cost of Ownership(TCO) basis.
My myth is that "wets are cheaper".
Let me know when you are ready to compare TCO costs of wets to AGMs.
