First the good news, I finally pulled the trigger and ended up going with dual6's. I got energizers by Johnson controls at 220 ah. We went for our maiden trip this week and the batteries did awesome! 5 nights of regular usage and it only took them down to 60%. Thanks for everyone's help with this decision!
Now the next question:)
On our trip, we were going to be driving each day and relying on this to keep the batteries charged. Unfortunately this didn't happen and I think I narrowed it down to the Voltage Sensitive Relay. When I would start my truck it would start clicking and no power was being sent to my batteries. After driving for a couple of hours the battery voltage would be the same or less than when we started.
Why would this happen? Now to make matters more confusing, now that we are home and I recharged the batteries using the 110 connection, I re hooked up my truck and turned it on and it started charging the batteries! Would the state of discharge of my camper batteries cause the vsr to cut them off? Am I way off in my investigation??
