Next. The GC2 are DEEP CYCLE designed to be run down as low as 50 percent.
The Group 27 are most likely Marine/Deep cycle.. Lower internal resistance but.. They do not like to be run down so far.. say 75% soc minimum.
My old 12 volt was an interstate marine/rv with no AH listed (or that I could find on their site) so I was speculating on the AH's.
The original GC2's I was looking at were Costco batteries rated at 208 AH's. the GC2's I ended up buying were from SAMs club and were energizers by Johnson controls and are rated at 220AH.
So prior to the swap, my truck would charge the battery. After the swap, with deeply discharged batteries, for some reason the VSR isn't allowing charging.
