The motot should have plug in electrical wires on it . You can unplug them and make up some identical wires and terminals and see if the awning works off a regular battery. By bypassing all the wiring and controls if it works you will know it is in the wiring or controls. If it does not work you will know it is the motor or it is binding up and " amping out ". Thenyou have to go from there.
