I'm not sure about that. However, I do remember Adams Flea and Tick Off spray. It used to work really great and then one day it wasn't that effective. Come to find out it used to have formaldehyde as an ingredient. Formaldehyde has been in many many things over the years.

So have lead and asbestos and arsenic and mercury. As the dangers have been discovered, these and other products have been altered to make them less harmful to the innocent bystanders. Heck, thalidomide was considered an excellent product until the babies started arriving.
