ABS (Antilock Brake System) light on after change batteries

I just replaced the chassis batteries on my coach and now the ABS light stays on when the engine is running (haven't driven it yet). I'm guessing this is a computer issue and I'm going to have to get the computer reset but wondering if anybody else has had this issue. Thanks

  • Thanks for the comments. As was suggested the light went off after a few miles. Appreciate the assist!
  • This is common with many of the ABS systems. All it knows right now is that the wheels haven't sent it any signals. Run it just a little and it will probably come out of panic mode. I haven't been in foundation brakes for a decade, but that was a problem.

  • It most likely will go out when you drive it a bit. If there is a problem with your ABS, your brakes will still work okay but the anti-lock will not work.
  • I'd just try driving it 10-20 miles and see if the light goes out on it's own. The ABS computer might just reset once driven.
