AC Unit Efficiency

I have a 32' Keystone 5th wheel. I'm going to replace my only ac unit. Does anybody know if it's possible to compare EER's (Energy Efficiency Ratio) of units somewhere. I run on my generator a lot so the EER is important to me. What amazes me is that window units for homes run around 11-12 EER. I don't think I've seen an rv ac unit hit 10 EER. Considering the price paid for rv units I expect more efficiency. Thank you in advance.
  • When looking for an AC , divide the BTU's by the Watts . That's EER. No more no less.
  • I am biased against RV AC's, just plain do not like them. So in my little Toyota I took out the rear window and installed an 8000 btu window AC. Runs nicely on my Honda 2000. Not ascetically pleasing, but I would rather be cool than look cool.
  • From my home experience efficiency comes at a price. ie Larger and heavier unit. Yes RVs are expensive...
