That really is probably not enough amps! Unless of course when you turn it on the first time and it doesn't blow the breaker, make sure to have it on its very coldest setting so the compressor never goes off. Then it would probably work. That is what I do when power is scarce and it works for me. It takes something like 2 to 4 times the power to start that compressor that to keep it running. JMHO
Also I think they say below 110 volts you may be damaging you AC.
