My POPUP Trailer is a good 50-feet away from the garage in the back yard and I use a 50-foot 10-3 HD Extension cord and a RV30A-15A 'LONG Dogbone' type adapter from WALMART...
The 10-3 contractor type HD Extension cords are expensive but I was able to find a couple for sale at a yard sale. You might be able to talk a local RV DEALERSHIP out of a couple of used long extension cords for a good price... When I bought my trailer they passed-on one to me for the asking... These were M/F RV30A cables.
We always watch what else is on in the trailer and don't have any problems getting any connections hot outside or tripping any breakers in the garage...
