Acceptable voltage drop for Xantrex 600w inverter? Overload?

Your 10' of #6 wire would give you a 0.24v drop. You seem to have a 0.55v drop. something other than the wire is causing a drop. Connections?

Could anything bad go wrong? The worst thing is probably a fire.
