- pianotunaNomad IIIHi Pinellas also do Yamaha kits.
- bka0721Explorer III have a EU300is and the Choke is really important to use on these, to get them started. I was always told this is the reason that Honda does not offer a remote start for this generator. Put the price of an aftermarket Remote Start, I just opted for a brief walk, out the door, down the steps and over to my garage, to start it. The hard part is to remember to shut it off, as it is so quiet.
You might try to contact Frank, (d3500ram)as he has one and installed a remote start on his.
The biggest advantage I find, not to have the Remote Start, is the extra exercise I get from the occasional walking back and forth.(Plus saving the money not spent) - BroncosFanExplorer
- GordonThreeExplorerDJ, dig a bit deeper with Google or your favorite search engine, there are kits that do not require soldering.
IMHO the cost of these kits are ridiculous ... $400 to $600 depending on options, you get a little box with the radio receiver in it $20-30, a $10 hobby servo to pull the choke, a $10 relay to kick the starter, where does the rest of the money go? I guess the price is what the market will bare, crazy. - _DJ_1Explorer IIThanks so much. My soldering skills suck so I guess I'll just have to go out and start it!!!
Remote start was a great selling point to DW!!!! - RoyBExplorer IIIf this is the EU3000is Honda generator you can purchase a remote start kit for it...
REMOTE START for EU3000is 3KW Honda
Roy Ken - nevadanickExplorerRemote start is available for it. I have one of these generators but havent been able to justify the cost so i dont have to go outto start or stop it. It is a graet generator. I just bought a 6500 also.
