adding shore power outlet

Given our inverter/generator is in the back of the pick up, it would be incredibly convenient to have the opportunity to plug trailer in to generator from front of rv instead of running additional cord from rear (currently where shore power cord is).

Has anyone have or installed an additional outlet like this?

Thanks for the help and advice.

I can see the convenience but unless you also install a disconnect switch in the normal main service feed that male connector is going to be powered as well ... in other words you'd be turning it into a suicide plug. :E
