I gather that you have removed all of the old luan/etc. and just have exposed styrofoam and wooden ribs? I like 3M marine adhesive myself. I believe that the 5200 is the permanent one, but am not positive of that nor how it reacts with styrofoam.
just checked my tube of 4200 and it doesn't mention styrofoam good or bad.
