The good part is the inverter did not blow up the air conditioner.
You also have "proof of concept" which is nice to know.
If you went for a fine quality inverter you might be able to run the roof air. It would cool about twice as fast as the window unit. I expect the 8d might show some voltage drop with that kind of load--and then the solar would max itself out trying to support the draw. The magnum I have doesn't even hiccup with the load from the roof air.

At least I got to use it for a season and it showed me what our solar can do. I'm still trilled to know the solar can power the window shaker on its own even if I need to find a inverter that can handle it.
