So it looks like I'll go for the Tripp lite PV2000FC unit. The microwave and coffee pot both exceed the 1250 and by the time I get it from a reputable dealer, I'll pay the same as the 2000 at Walmart. The great price on the 1250 at walmart was from a second seller with worse reviews than PCnation.
The whole proof of concept things is true. Had I not been able to run things with the excess panels, there would be no reason to mount more than the 230w poly. It along can handle the trailer, TV and maybe the morning brew.
I'll never have the room for enough bank to support the roof top air. The 8-D can't support the big loads for long without the solar assist. By the time we close off the bunks, bathroom and bedroom there isn't much for the window shaker to cool down.
