These old enough that PSW models were not really common when they were built. I would imagine they use PSW now, though, as the efficiency and reliability of pure sine models has skyrocketed.
Theyre pretty interesting- everything defaults to shore, if available, but once off shore power, the inverters run everything, starting the genset when needed to recharge the batteries. I'm not sure how long they would run on battery power alone- 8 4D batteries give a pretty healthy capacity, but 8kw of inverters can drain it pretty quickly.
