Air conditioning on solar
So today I put together the three solar systems on the 8-D, hooked up the PowerJack inverter and then the 5000 BTU air conditioner. The Air conditioner is a Frigidaire unit that uses 446w/ 3.9a @120v....

So ... what do poly panels offer in performance that mono panels do not?
I was under the impression that mono panels were "better in the long run" if one could afford the higher price for them and a MPPT controller to go with them.
Watch it Phil, the koolaid is unsweetened.
Monos offer the smaller footprint for the same watts. Polys offer something in less than bright light. I have lots of room and gets lots of clouds. I'm going back to polys.
