Air conditioning on solar
So today I put together the three solar systems on the 8-D, hooked up the PowerJack inverter and then the 5000 BTU air conditioner. The Air conditioner is a Frigidaire unit that uses 446w/ 3.9a @120v....

I decided to go with Mono panels because of their smaller footprint.
After some careful measuring of my small roof my best option was four 100 watt panels from Renogy. They were the only decent 100 watt panels that came in a 24 inch wide footprint. Most Poly and even Mono were way over 34 inches in width. Yes, I could have squeezed a few up there but it wouldn't have left me room to walk around and the shadows from the vents and housings would have crippled the output.
I can easily add one more panel if not 2, something I could not have done with the larger poly panels. For those with larger 5th wheels panel size isn't that critical.
I'm very happy with install....
