I would get a 'kill-a-watt' meter and plug into shore power cord and check with ONLY the Air cond on... When compared to your units specs, this should tell you how many amps your unit only is using, and may indicate a tired run capacitor - over time all capacitors will eventually leak and become a bit less efficient, or it could indicate a larger problem...
