A fatter engine to battery(-) ground is a good idea too.
Can you easily get a clamp on the ALT(+) stud? I'd fear it grounding out on something.
I don't want to mess up my proper voltage regulation for the truck battery, so don't I have to keep my alternator to house battery wires separate from the wires going to the battery via whatever goes on with the truck computer /regulator whatever goes on there?
Yes the pos lug on the alternator isn't much but I could rig a short pig tail off that with a lumpy bit on the end to clamp to where it is all held clear of any frame parts out in the open. Of course I don't have to use this set of jumpers with the big clamps either--I could use other fat wires.
I could just use the existing pos lug wire to the little red box and connect at the red box where the wire over to the battery comes out of.
