I've taken the smaller dies and ground/filed them out for 2awg and 6awg thick wall lugs so that they crimp without 'ears'. This is not hard but it is time consuming and there is too much room for error.
Thats the only reason I ended up with this one was the die set. Which is also likely the reason it's bite is twice as hard.
BTW- One of the ways to help from making ears on the lugs is to rotate them in the die each crimp. What you see in the pictures are probably 4-6 crimps: 2 with the #95 (notice 2 side by side), and 4 with #70. 2 medium hard, rotate, and finish off with the die totally closed. I'm not fast, but it's done right and pretty.
