Amp hours to fully recharge?

What I have been reading from battcon and other sources makes me believe a pristine, new lead acid battery will take 110-115% of the amp hours drawn out to get all the way back to full charge. Charge hard and fast or have an older but serviceable battery and it can bet150%.

If you take 100 Ah out of a bank and put 104 Ah back in, if I understand it, there is no possible way you are recharged. If you take 100 Ah out and put 110 Ah back in over say just 3 hours, you might be closer but it is very unlikely that you are recharged.

Is there something wrong with my understanding?

Jim
