The water for the first 3 years has been split between WA (soft) and CA (hard). Last 3 years has been mostly hard, NM and CA.
YES it has LASTED
What you have is typical of an anode rod that has been doing it's job....being sacrifical so STEEL tank is protected

Still 30% Plus of life LEFT in your rod but good time to replace it
