I went with Sams GC2 Energizers, my local battery warehouse was wanting $75 MORE per battery for Trojans. Got the Sams batteries for $140 for the pair and I would had about $300 in the Trojan brand, I suspect that Crowns will be about the same way.
MOST batteries IF taken care of properly regardless of the name stamped on it should get you 5-10 yrs of usable life.
I USED to be a big Sears "Diehard" battery user, not so much now, I have had a few to many of them in vehicles which didn't work as well or as long os the OEM battery. Not to mention the premium price that Sears charges for them.
The last Sears battery I bought cost $170 for my truck, had to replace it after two years, bought a Sams battery in the same group size for $120..
So far my Sams GC batteries are 6yrs old and still GOING and GOING on GOING...
