Anyone know a trick to keep residential frig door closed?

Bought a new Cedar Creek 5ver with the residential side by side french doors with a freezer drawer on the bottom unit. It came with a strap to wrap thru the three handles but the doors still pop open. Has anyone figured out a neat solution? Strap isn't working
  • I used neodymium magnets and threaded bolts (adjustable). By spacing the distance between magnet and bolt head, perfect tension is achieved and it never ever changes. Go to allelectronics. com and search magnets. There is a circular magnet with a countersunk hole in the center perfect for this. These magnets are unbelievably strong so use caution and wisdom.
  • Nope but then in our coach we've had no issues with the doors coming open. There is a small metal tab the we can put over the freezer door but never do.
  • There are a few solutions to this. The one that requires a hole drilled, and pins in place, definitely will do the job, but I prefer the last one that uses Velcro so it can be removed when the time comes.

There are a few others as well.
