Pull the microwave and toss it. Remove the control panel from the range shroud and replace it with a strip of brushed stainless. There has to be a way to accomplish that. The control panel has to attach with screws or some type of clips from the backside. Look for a sheet metal or a commercial kitchen shop / supplier for the stainless.
