Are these 12v parallel batteries wired incorrectly?

These 12v batteries came with the trailer. Theyre mismatched and you can see the 2nd battery has more corrosion. Is that due to where the solar and ground wires are attached to the pair? The batte...

The fewer connections in a circuit the fewer points that can fault. The addition of connections at a point of accelerated corrosion aggravates this formula terribly. If an RV battery has the capability of using an automotive type battery post to clamp squeeze terminal I would use it. There are import auto clamps made from tinned copper that are ideal for this.
