Attwood Furnace and or fuse panel issue
When I plug in to AC my furnace automatically runs and fuse panel "clicks" and lights blink every few seconds, furnace never lights. If I disconnect the battery, the furnace works. I have checked all the fuses and breakers that are on the panel.
Here is what happened that likely caused this. I had a battery that wouldn't hold a charge for very long so I took it out to get a new one, only I never unplugged the AC. (dumb) The wires that connected to the battery were floating in the battery compartment when I left, but when I returned they had relaxed and were touching the bottom of the battery compartment arcing in some water. When I got the new battery in and went inside to check that everything worked I noticed the issue I mentioned above with the furnace and that my panel that monitors the battery, grey water, black water and water levels did not work.
I know that the furnace is DC, so I figured maybe I fried the converter? However, when I disconnect the battery completely, the furnace runs correctly. Are there another set of fuses or a relay I should check? Or could I have fried the thermostat? But then that wouldn't explain the "monitor" board for the tanks.
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
