Attwood Furnace Trouble.

I Have A 2014 Jayco Swift Slx145 Rb. It Has A Attwood Hydroflame Gas Furnace. The Problem Is The Furnace Runs And Lights Fine, But it Heats For A Couple Of Mins Then The Gas Flow Stops And Then It Lights Again 15 Seconds Later. And It Does That Off And On Til The Thermostat Cuts It Off. What Should I Do. I Don't Think That Is Normal. Thanks.

I'm assuming that your other gas appliances are running fine so you know you are getting good gas supply to the furnace.

Even with the other appliances working ok, the Propane regulator on the tanks may not be giving as much pressure as the furnace needs. At least that's what happened with ours. Guess the furnace uses a lot more propane than the other appliances.

Worked fine with a new regulator.
  • Thanks I Bought It In PA. So It Would Be Cheaper To Pay Out Of Pocket Then To Drive All The Way To Pa. Thanks

Thanks For All The Good Feed Back. IM TAKING A Week Long Trip Tomorrow. So I Will Check The Circuit Board LEDs. There's No Blockage Around Vent And THE Blower Is Nice And Strong. Gas Flow Is Good. I Think I'll Let The Dealer Look At It
I Bought it Out of State But There's A lot of Local Dealers In N.C. Thanks Again.

Good luck getting a dealer other than the selling dealer to do any warranty work for you. RV dealers don't operate like auto dealers.

  • This is not a problem if there is nothing blocking the heat vents. They have a thermal switch that prevents the firebox from overheating. Depending on how the air ducts are run some units do this and others don't. If you shut off a vent or block them in an attempt to direct heat to an area of the MH it will do this.
  • Sounds like the flame sensor is not seeing the flame. This could be an adjustment of the ignitor and flame sensor probe.
Since it is a new rig, I would have the dealer fix it.

You should be able to look at the circuit board on the furnace and read the error code, it will be a blinking LED and you count the number of blinks.

    Good luck!
