You could try jumpering the wires to verify that it is the relay and not some other issue.
It could be a pin pulled out of one of the connectors or the connector not pushed in tight.
I would not try to change relay out! I could have done it years ago, but now I donot think so. You maybe able to find a shop to do it. My local computer shop has done some work for me in the past.
