When I bought my 5th they were an option. No thanks I'll get up and sweep any twigs and leaves off before I close up.

Well up here in Pine Tree Country --they keep the pine needles and twigs out of your slide in area-- so that when you retract the side-- you don't get all the needles inside.:W
They also block sun and they do help to insulate it a little bit..... they keep junk from falling down between your slide wall and the wall of the trailer ,so that you don't have to go out and brush stuff off when you retract your slides .:)
They also keep the water from getting in there so if you retract your slides when it's raining or just after it's rained then you don't have to worry about brushing the water off the top of your slide to keep it from getting inside.:)
Other than that ---I can't think of a single reason to Get them.......???????????
