I have the Banks Power Pack on a 5.9 24v Cummins. It added about 100 HP and 280 ft lbs of torque. Hardly disappointing. Even better, it was on the truck when I bought it. I have the receipts from the OO, and it was pricey. About 4 large installed, but he did get ripped on the install by about $800 by a local diesel shop. There are different levels of Banks kits, so not all kits would see the top rating of the Power Pack.
As to a gasser, that's a lot of money for not much gain. There are tuners in the $500 range that would probably do as well. However, towing is not recommended with the higher power tunes. They also require premium fuel in tow mode.
