Batteries with single-stage charger
Our newly acquired TC has a single-stage charger that I plan to upgrade. It operates at 13.5 or 13.6 volts. How long can this charger operate without risking damage to the batteries?

I learned my lesson 20 years ago. Not long. Many will tell you you can do a lot of charging with a single stage and it will eventually charge but never complete without a 14+ boost occasionally. You need a little out gassing from boost charge and you want a float for storage if you have power there. With a multi stage, you check the level now and then but very rarely if reach for the distilled water. Of course AGM takes that out of the equation too if you can afford them.
