What's the best rv battery? I have a 1995 Holiday Rambler. It stays at deer camp where there is no electricity.

. . .I would suggest you look into a solar panel / charge controller; your batteries will be FULL whenever you use the RV. . .Then get a GOOD "RV" battery(s) & make sure you check the fluid level on a regular schedule.... I have had solar on all past RV's & hardly run the genset. . .

Lifeline AGMs and install a full disconnect switch on the post when you are not there. Solar is another option.

Best will be to keep the battery charged year round with solar.

Best would be Rolls-Surrette for flooded and maybe Trojan's for AGM's.After you regain consciousness from fainting over the price, check out the golf cart batteries at Sam's Club or Costco.X4 on the solar. It will keep your new batteries in top condition.

Since the poster specified "best battery" and the probability that his rig will be unattended for a great majority of the year it means using a low loss battery or a solar panel. What was not specified was the amount of shading the rig gets nor the likelyhood of dirt or leaves inadvertently blocking the cells.For battery alone an AGM will fill the bill. Don't know about anyone else but me shelling out 130 dollars for an ordinary Wal-Mart group 29 battery, hurt. Double the money for a lifeline AGM wasn't as painful.With a panel, the subject of shade and debris needs pondering.

31 AGM 20 amp rating.? Our Energizer group 31s are not deep cycle and therefor would not be a good choice for your Golf Cart. The Golf Cart batteries Sam's Club offers now are not AGM.

Direct link to Sam's Club grp 31 AGM Core charge at my local Sam's was $5. I chose to pay the charges and recycle at the scrap yard.

IMO, a bit away from "best deal on the Planet". With tax and core that is $1.88/AH. FWIW, two GC2 6 V's were $.90/AH at the same place.

I am forced toward the Sam's Club MEXICO site no matter what I do just like the WalMart site. Sam's Club Mexico wouldn't know an AGM battery if one jumped up and bit them in the ass.

There are few of us that have paid $100 to 125 for lightly used Telecom AGM batteries with 140 -150 AH's. Perhaps a better deal if you can find them locally on craigslist.
