Batteries

My 21 foot TT came with a small deep cycle battery. My Problem is when I dry camp it doesn't last the night running my cpap machine. Cpap has a real low draw. I am going to install a 2 battery system. The question for me is 2 high capacity deep cycle batteries better than 2 900 cca regular batteries.

  • True deep cycle batteries like those used for golf carts are better suited for RVing than high cranking amps starter batteries used in automobiles. CCA is a term used with automobile batteries, cold cranking amps is not something an RVer is concerned with when requiring a stable, capable 12 volt DC source for running their DC items. They are designed to handle repeated deep discharges which is common when RVing, we purchased 2 six volt GC2 batteries from Samsclub and they give us great service tending to both our DC and AC (via inverter) demands.
