A personal note about hydraulic crimpers which work in confined areas a lot better than other crimping tools....
The 16-ton hydraulic crimper is easier on the hands by light-years than an eight ton crimper. Also a 16-ton crimper has a better sealing cylinder piston assembly and dies to 350 MCM or larger that allow the dies to accept cast copper terminals even in 4/0 size. A good used 16-ton crimper will sell within minutes on craigslist. Good crimpers use a Hexagon die which is approved by TTMA (Truck Trailer Manufacturer's Association).
LEAD and not TIN plated battery clamps and lugs are TTMA approved but they cannot be soldered. They are pure copper terminations, hot dipped in pure lead. Far and away more resistant to battery vent corrosion than a lead/tin plating over copper.
Hope This Helps
